Craft Documentation Field Day — Phulkari Artisans
Interview phulkari embroiderers, photograph their process, and publish it to a public archive with your byline on the entry.
Phulkari embroidery is on every tourism poster in Punjab and almost nowhere in a proper archive. You will help fix that.
In pairs, you will spend the day with one artisan family — recording a short interview, photographing the stitching process step by step, and writing up the motifs and what they mean. The Trust’s archivist runs a briefing on interview technique and consent before you start.
Entries that meet the archive standard are published with your name on them. That is a citable credit you can put on an application.
