Digital Literacy Drive — Government School, Ludhiana
Spend a Saturday teaching Class 6–8 students their first computer skills — from switching on a machine to writing their first document.
Most of the students you will meet have never used a keyboard. In one focused day you will take a group of ten from switching on a machine to typing, saving and printing their own work.
You do not need teaching experience. Pratham’s coordinators run a 45-minute briefing at the start, give you a simple lesson plan, and stay in the room the whole time. What you do need is patience and a willingness to explain the same thing three different ways.
Volunteers who complete the full day receive a signed participation certificate, and the six hours count toward your MentorXi portfolio.
